....and the invitations are soon going out to my friends for our bowling party - with this blog address on! So, it's probably best to say what we've been doing for the last year - and still have yet to do...
I've been doing 13 projects of different sizes as a 'Coming of Age' programme (lots of them with Dad) to give me new experiences and opportunities(!) Many are covered in the monthly postings below - but to summarise:
I've ‘experienced’ a walk around London on the 78-mile ‘Capital Ring’; organised a Dinner Party for some real adults; 13 new Sports including deep-sea fishing, archery, golf and clay-pigeon shooting; a private driving lesson (tomorrow); 13 new areas of London – including Chelsea, South Ken, Olympic Site and St. Pancras; ‘Roots’ - visited birth / work / social / education places - of my mum, dad & grandparents; 13 Arty Experiences - art galleries, theatres, exhibitions, castles and museums; a Scouts Camping trip to Portugal – including a 40k ‘hike’; a few achievements – inc. the Jack Petchey Award and playing Mrs Thatcher in my school’s 150th anniversary play!; ‘Life Kills / Crisis Management’ (still to finish this one - but sounds interesting); starting a new business with my dad – watch this space; a secret project with Mum - something to do with line dancing (I think they ran out of ideas!) and finally; a Community Care project weekly.
I can't wait till Julius does his!
